Landfills are full<\/strong><\/h3><\/blockquote>

It may surprise you to learn that the fashion industry is responsible for about 10% of annual global carbon emissions and it's been estimated that a dump truck load of clothing is buried in landfill or burnt every second. With the rapid rise of fast-fashion companies, this is set to increase exponentially. The main cause of this is due to textile overproduction and overconsumption of on-trend clothing (wear a few times then bin when it's not the 'latest look' anymore) as well as garments unsold.<\/p>

Less than 1% of clothing is actually recycled. 99% ends up in landfill or incineration. And where nearly two thirds of all clothing is made from plastic materials, the fast fashion system is one of the biggest threats to the survival of the biological systems human life depends on. It calls for a total redesign of the way clothes are made and that isn\u2019t as difficult as it sounds. Our products are made from plants, not plastic. And as well as using natural organic materials, this includes post consumer recycled organic cotton. Combined with renewable energy it\u2019s clear that low waste, low impact options exist. All we need to do is choose well.<\/p>

We wanted our products to be made as sustainably as possible, which is why we work with Teemill, an open-access circular economy supply chain that makes products made to be remade<\/strong>. Teemill is on a mission to recover 100 million items by 2027 and we can\u2019t do it without you.<\/p>
